The Gathered Sleeve Wrap Top

It’s cute, but didn’t seem to wash super well.

The eye and hook are way too low for me but I can pin it myself further up.

Lovely fabric and fit

Looks great casual with jeans or a skirt. Lovely under a blazer or suit jacket. This piece does a great job transitioning from business to casual. It layers fine under a cardigan, if you want. The cream version is one that I personally need to wear a cami under, since the blouse is a little sheer. The woven fabric hangs beautifully, but it doesn't really have stretch to it. In particular this might be an issue if you often run into clothes being tight around the armpit area when you move your arms. I'm a very average 5'6, and the sleeves feel 1/2" too short for me, though you can see that on the models on the website. Keep in mind if you're tall with long arms that it probably won't go all the way down to your wrists. I also feel like I don't quite have a long enough torso to opt to use the belted variation of this, which isn't the case with their wrapped sweater. That one I can use the tie if I want around my natural waist.

Overall I'm pleased, and I'm considering getting this in black while it's still available.

So don’t get me wrong, I do love this piece. I adore the color, I appreciate the versatility, and I’m impressed by the quality. That said, it is not pear-shape friendly. Because of the way it’s cut, when I button all the buttons to wear it as a top it billows out right at my hips, just above the seam which is a bit too tight. It does not look the same on me that it does on the model. Sure, I could have sized up but then the bust would have been extremely oversized. I may take it to my seamstress and have the entire thing shortened so it doesn’t touch my hips as all. When I placed my original order I almost purchased the black one as well, but now I’m glad I waited.
